“Young people bring lots of ideas and creativity to the world which is why we are calling on Federal government to at least give the youths 30 percent opportunity in governance across board.”
This remark was made by the Chief Executive Officer Connected Development (CODE) Hamzat Lawal as he expressed the need to bring young creative people from different spheres of life beyond politics. He made this remark at the farewell dinner of the former House of Representative Shina Peller organised by the Youth Stakeholders.
Shina Peller, expressed that if the nation can strengthen the creative industry, this will pull out a lot of youths from the unemployment pool and make them relevant.
He further stated, that most developed countries achieved the feat by investing so much in their youths urging the government to follow similar suites by strengthening the creative industry
Mr solomon Adodo, correspondent National Youth Council (NYC) also describe youth as a creative tool for national building.
It is something remarkable to empower the youth and put them into consideration when making policies so that the country we hope for can be a reality.
