It is no news anymore that fuel is now N617 per litre as Nigerians kick against the rise in the pump price of fuel by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) during the early hours of Tuesday 18th July, 2023.
According to the NNPCL Group Chief Executive Officer Mele Kyari “When you go to the market, you buy the product, you come to the market and sell it at its prevailing market price. It has nothing to do with supply. We don’t have supply issues.”
This increase in fuel prices were confirmed to be true by independent oil marketers, who noted that price changes were made by NNPCL and which typically indicates a rise in the pump price of petrol.
