Following the resignation of the party’s ruling chairman and the secretary, Muiz Banire, SAN, former legal adviser to All Progressives Congress, APC, said in an interview with Channels television after the APC NWC meeting that was conducted by the new acting chairman ABUBAKAR KYARI.

“I’m not too sure that the resignation could have been voluntarily, in my view, I might be wrong; I probably believe that maybe the pressure of other colleagues of theirs forced them eventually to tender their resignation.”

He also added that maybe the issues that have been in the public space for some time now on maladministration of the party, misappropriation of funds had reached its peak now, and couldn’t be absorbed again. So the party committee probably reacted on them.

Banire has also exempted the president from having a hand in their resignation despite Adamu was not in support of his ambition to be the president from the beginning.

There’s more to the story, necessary committees knew about this resignation before it happened eventually.
