Popular comedian, Ayo Makun, AY, has finally broken his silence after a report of a fire incident at his Lagos home on Sunday.
A video making the rounds on social media, showed a two bedroom identified as AY’s house, gutted by fire. The roof of the building was on fire.
The comedian however did not leave room for sympathy when he came out on social media after the incident. He also did not address the issue directly.
In a post on his Instagram page, AY posted a video of his family; who obviously are out of the country, shopping in a store with a caption: “Family and God – that is what’s important. Everything else comes and goes. Can’t wait to join you guys in the US in a few hours.”
Also sharing a cryptic message on his Instagram story, celebrity fashion designer and AY’s brother, Yomi Casual on his story prayed that God will restore all that was lost.
Hours after AY’s post, the comedian on Monday shared after post on his Instagram with a picture indicating gratitude and caption “The only impossible journey is the one you never begin. #wemoveeeee.”
The comedian is currently in Canada.
The burnt house is located at Richmond Estate, Lekki, Lagos and is fitted with lights, glass, expensive
Chandelier, long staircase furniture, and plants, with beautiful interiors designed by
Mabel Makun, the wife of the comedian, who is the CEO of MIDAS Interiors LTD.
Meanwhile, solidarity messages have continued to pour in for AY and his family on social media from fans and colleagues.
The cause of the fire is still unknown.
