Church Announces Date For Pastor Odukoya’s Burial

The Fountain of Life Church in Lagos has announced that the late Pastor Taiwo Odukoya, who passed away on August 7, will be laid to rest on September 9, 2023.

The funeral arrangements, outlined on the Church’s Facebook page, states:

On Friday, September 8, a service of songs will be held to honor the late clergy and founder at the Church headquarters in Illupeju, Lagos State.

The actual funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 9, at the Church headquarters.

Meanwhile, on Sunday, September 10, a single service will be held at 9:00 am, with no children’s church either onsite or online.

Pastor Taiwo, who was 67 years old, passed away in the United States after a brief illness.

Over the years, he faced the loss of his South African wife Nomthi Odukoya and his twin sister Kehinde Hassan, both to cancer. In 2005, his first wife Bimbo Williams, who co-founded the church, tragically died in the Sosoliso plane crash along with many others.

He is survived by his five children, Tolu Ijogun Odukoya, Jimmy Odukoya, Tobi Odukoya, Timileyin Odukoya, Jomiloju Odukoya.

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos State President Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and former Vice President of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo have conveyed their condolences to the late cleric’s family.
