Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State expressed his admiration for the Nigerian women’s soccer team, the Super Falcons, for their performance in the ongoing FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The governor, during a gathering at the Government House in Owerri on Tuesday, pledged to provide a plot of land in prime areas of the state and a monetary reward of $10,000 to each of the four team members hailing from Imo State.
They are: Chiamaka Nnadozie, Desire Oparanozie, Osinachi Ohale, and Tochukwu Oluehi.
Welcoming the players from Imo State at the Government House in Owerri, the governor motivated and inspired them to persevere in representing Nigeria and Africa with distinction on the international platform.
