Supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and those of the major opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are alleged to be getting set for tough battle as soon as possible, if necessary actions are not taken by security agencies in the state.
Rumours are rife that supporters of the two major hopeful candidates to take over the Lord Lugard House seat of power from the incumbent Yahaya Bello, Usman Ododo and Dino Melaye are threatening fire and brimstone on behalf of their preferred candidate and this scenario may lead to something frenzy if necessary, actions are not taken to forestall such.
Information reaching Top Society News had it that all across major towns and communities in the state from the capital Lokoja to Okene, Idah to Ajaokuta and others too numerous to list our here, political thugs and favour hunters may have been secretly planning to unleash potential terrors on the opposite party, threatening peaceful conduct of the November 11 election and probably jeopardizing the hope of Kogites having a new governor before the end of the year. This piece of information therefore serves as a clarion call to security agencies spanning the police and military to brace up and activate early actions against the evil minded political hoodlums.
It could be recalled that there have been series of verbal altercations between the serving governor Yahaya Bello who is heavily in support of Usman Ododo and the vocal Senator Dino Melaye as regards the election but sadly, their exchange of unprintable words is gradually creeping into the hearts of youths and eligible voters in the state, some of whom are involved in political thuggery over the years.
