In a recent development, the abductors of Mrs. Blessing Ajiboye, the wife of a pastor from the Redeemed Christian Church of God, have reportedly issued a demand for a substantial ransom. The kidnappers are demanding a staggering sum of N100 million from the family in exchange for her safe release.
On Thursday, reports emerged concerning the incident that transpired in Elerinjare town, located in the Ifelodun Local Government area of Kwara State. Blessing Ajiboye, the spouse of Pastor Johnson Ajiboye, a senior clergyman within the RCCG, was reportedly kidnapped from her retail establishment by a group of unidentified gunmen, estimated to be around seven in number.
She was abducted alongside her two shop assistants, who have fortunately been released. Their adopted daughter, who happened to be present during the assault, also managed to escape unscathed.

As per the reports, the abductors reportedly reached out to the family on Friday evening, stipulating a demand of N100 million as ransom. It’s puzzling to consider how the pastor would acquire such a substantial sum.
Describing the ordeal, the pastor shared that the assailants emerged from the nearby bushes adjoining the Community Primary School within the vicinity.
Recounting the sequence of events, he stated,
“The gunmen did not touch or cart away any money. They only grabbed my 34-year-old wife, Blessing Ajiboye, after removing the baby tied to her back. They dropped the baby on the ground.”
Last Thursday, the pastor recounted his experience of being jolted by the distinct sound of gunfire, only to discover later that his wife had been forcefully taken from their home.
Additionally, it has been gathered that a nearby neighbor, who happened to be seated close to the shop at the time, was struck by a bullet. The individual is currently undergoing medical treatment at a private hospital.
As of now, the Redeemed Christian Church of God has not issued an official statement regarding the matter.
