Niger Military Crash: In a solemn gathering at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja on Friday, August 25, a sober mood enveloped the atmosphere as military personnel from the Nigerian Armed Forces, along with grieving family members and friends, came together to bid a final farewell to 22 fallen heroes.

These valiant servicemen had tragically lost their lives in combat in Niger State.

Tragedy struck on August 14 as the nation’s military forces suffered a devastating blow in the line of duty. The Defense Headquarters (DHQ) had reported a heart-wrenching loss, revealing that a grim total of 36 officers, including those involved in an air mission, met their untimely demise in battle.

The news has sent shockwaves across the nation, highlighting the perilous nature of their service and the sacrifices made to safeguard the country’s security.

Amidst an aura of solemnity, a poignant ceremony unfolded, graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries.
