The Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, Richard Olatunde, confirmed that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu is still abroad in Germany for his ongoing medical vacation.
This was contained in a recent press statement released on Thursday, August 31, 2023 via his X account.
Despite mounting anticipation for his return, Governor Akeredolu, has not yet set foot back on Nigerian soil. The Governor’s office has assured the citizens of Ondo State and all Nigerians that his homecoming will be extensively announced when the time comes.
In light of this, Olatunde advised the public to remain cautious of misleading information and potential manipulations spread by concerned politicians seeking to capitalize on the Governor’s absence.

“The Governor is currently still on a medical vacation in Germany.
“We would like to assure the good people of Ondo State and Nigerians in general that the Governor’s return will be widely publicized.
“While we acknowledge that his return is imminent, we urge our citizens to disregard any false information and preemptive mischief orchestrated by jittery politicians.
“For emphasis, Governor Akeredolu has not yet returned to the country.

Governor Akeredolu embarked on a medical vacation to Germany and subsequently delegated his authority to Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the Deputy Governor, who is now serving as the acting Governor. The citizens of the state eagerly anticipate the return of their elected Governor.
