President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given his nod to the appointment of Delu Bulus Yakubu as the inaugural National Coordinator/Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA). This appointment awaits Senate confirmation.
The announcement was made by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in an official statement issued on Thursday.

This decision follows the recent enactment of the NSIPA Establishment Act, 2023, which was signed into law on May 22, 2023. The NSIPA is expected to play a pivotal role in advancing social welfare initiatives and programs for the benefit of the Nigerian populace.

Mrs. Yakubu possesses a Master’s degree in agronomy, awarded by Kharkiv State University of Bio-Technology in Ukraine, and boasts an extensive track record of more than 15 years in overseeing Social Investment Programs.
Additionally, President Tinubu has also approved the appointment of Aliyu Tijani Ahmed as the new Federal Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer of the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI). This decision has been made with the aim of tackling the urgent challenges faced by refugees, migrants, and internally displaced individuals within the country.
Mr. Ahmed, who holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology, has previously held diverse roles within the Nasarawa State Government.
Tinubu anticipates that these newly appointed officials will maintain the utmost standards of efficiency, transparency, and excellence in service delivery within their respective agencies, aligning with his dedication to achieving the objectives of his administration’s “Renewed Hope” agenda. These appointments take effect immediately.
The President’s selections will now undergo the scrutiny of the Senate before being formally confirmed.
