Rallies Emerge Across States in Response to Mohbad's Death 


In a riveting Instagram Live session on Monday, renowned actress Iyabo Ojo made a fervent call for justice in the case of the late singer, Mohbad. Ojo, who has emerged as a prominent voice in seeking justice for the deceased artist, revealed her plans to organize a rally in Lagos State to amplify the demand for a thorough investigation.

Standing resolute in her mission, Iyabo Ojo revealed that her non-governmental organization (NGO) and foundation would soon dispatch letters to “respectable” offices, including the governor’s office and international entities, to underscore the pressing need for justice on behalf of the departed Mohbad.

The actress, known for her unyielding commitment to social causes, called upon fellow entertainers and concerned citizens to join her in this peaceful demonstration for justice. The rally, expected to be a peaceful walk, is slated to occur either on Tuesday or Wednesday, further emphasizing the urgency of the matter.

With two children of her own, Iyabo Ojo passionately asserted that justice must prevail for Mohbad, highlighting the gravity of the situation and the impact it has on the community. Her unwavering determination in seeking justice for the late singer has garnered significant attention and support from fans and fellow artists alike.

The actress noted;

“Governor Sanwo Olu. I want you to use your good office sir. We need you to see to it that all these investigations are carried out.

“We don’t want an audio investigation. We failed when he was alive. This one he had to pay the ultimate price. We parents are bringing the revolution to reality. The autopsy must be done. When I met him, he was so disturbed. He was so paranoid.

“My lawyer will write to you. My foundation will write to you one after the other. My foundation will send out a letter. We are sending the letter on Monday to all the respectable offices. And we are sending it to international bodies.

“We are coming to your office on Tuesday or Wednesday. So that you can understand that we need justice. We are going to do a peaceful rally.”

In Ondo State, a group of determined youths is gearing up for a peaceful rally scheduled for Thursday, 21st September 2023, to address the controversial demise of Mohbad, an incident that has ignited widespread outrage.

Same goes for other locations within and outside Nigeria as well.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, another group of passionate youths in Ikorodu, Lagos State, conducted a peaceful protest, demanding a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely passing.

In response to the growing calls for justice, the police have taken action by establishing a specialized investigation team tasked with delving into the tragic loss of the young and promising talent.
