MC Oluomo Rebrands Lagos Parks’ Management, Unveils New Uniform

2 min read

Just as administrative rebranding effected on the hitherto yellow commercial buses in Lagos State had positive impacts via the beautification of the roads with the sight of blue buses etc, the leadership of Lagos State Parks Management Committee headed by Comrade Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo has devised a stylish design for the parks management committee uniforms. The unveiling of this magnificent uniform was done recently and members of the parks management team have been spotted donning the shirts to the admiration of the Lagos public. Ideally, the uniform corroborates the transformational approach of MC Oluomo towards changing the narratives and perspectives of the society about chieftains and members of the moribund National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW). No doubt, MC Oluomo has achieved majority of his aims of cleaning up the union and this time around, the Lagos State Parks Management Committee (LSPMC) of LASPG. The former Chairman of Lagos State chapter of NURTW and some motor park managers fully clad in blue shirt and suit that has a badge and stitches with the inscription ‘LASPG’ – which denotes Lagos State Park and Garages. It could be recalled that on the 10th of March 2022, the Lagos State Government suspended the activities of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Lagos chapter, in all parks and garages, following the tension sparked by some events in the union and set up a 25-member committee, headed by MC Oluomo, to oversee the affairs of all Motor Parks and Garages in the State. The Government had earlier promised to ensure that events in the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) are not allowed to threaten law and order. In a nutshell, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is hellbent and very committed in seeing a rebranded road unionism in Lagos State and more importantly, a more civilized one.
